I lived in Florida for years. It's different, but not like the ads from tourism. Different parts of the city are very different, given the climate, culture, economic conditions, educational level, etc. Some areas are ideal for retirement and for other young families. The schools are not the best and health care depends on where you state in the. I think people have this view that if they are in a Florida living in a complex way of life all the time. But it's really like in any other place after some time.
There are days when the summer is so hot that you can not leave. It is a very good relationship with the natural disasters.
On the positive side, there is no state income, a warmer climate, closer to the beach access and discounts on Disney World.
Life here in New York Tuesday, 80, went to Clearwater Bch. This area is large, the visit was not much.
I live outside of Clearwater, and I love it! =)
I count 19 years later ...
The heat sucks, but you get used to. And I love the fact that the gel does not go here. So far this winter we only had a few nights in the 30s, but is only rarely during the day than 45. Today was hot though.
